Firemen

This morning Lions were super excited to have the Fire crew come and visit along with their Fire Engine. We learnt about how to stay safe near fire, how to test our smoke alarms and about staying safe near water. The children had lots of fun exploring the Fire engine and learning about all the different parts. We even got to try on their tunics and spray the fire hoses!!

Dragon Discovery!

This week Lions had a very unusual discovery... a dragon egg!! Mr Jones had sent us a video from the school cameras that showed a dragon landing on our very own playground!! It had left footprints, a burnt book and even a sparkly egg! We were so shocked to find it but we were all super excited too. Have a look at our photos below showing us being detectives and following clues which led us to the egg!!

Fire

As part of RE topic 'What do Jewish people learn from the story of Moses? ' we listened to the story of Moses and then listened to fire themed music. We then responded to the music using different pens, paints and tools to create our own fire themed pictures. 

 

Fun! Fun! Fun!

What a lovely day we have had! Lions started the day by finishing their very last quiz and they have all done fantastically and I am super proud of them :) We then had a lovely chilled time painting our sunflower drawings ready for the competition at the Catfield Flower Festival in June. Then we finished the day with an amazing forest school session where we joined Tigers and Little Owls. We all had so much fun climbing trees, digging holes, making slides and rope swings.
